Pork and Cabbage Stir Fry

Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless pork loin, sliced into thin strips
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp white pepper
- 8 oz green cabbage (or Napa cabbage), cut into bite-sized pieces
- 4 green onions, cut into 2-inch pieces
- 1 green bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 yellow bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 2 tsp cornstarch
- 2 tsp water
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp chili paste
- 1/4 cup chicken stock
Steps
- Cut pork into thin strips, about 2 by 1 inch and 1/8 inch thick, pounding first if needed.
- Toss pork with 1 tsp cornstarch, soy sauce, salt, and white pepper. Cover and refrigerate 15 minutes.
- Cut cabbage into bite-sized pieces, green onions into 2-inch pieces, and bell peppers into 1-inch pieces.
- Mix 2 tsp cornstarch with water and set aside.
- Heat a wok over high heat, add oil, and coat the sides.
- Add marinated pork and garlic, and cook until pork is no longer pink.
- Add cabbage and bell peppers, stir-fry briefly, then cover and cook 2 minutes.
- Add chili paste and chicken stock, stirring until boiling.
- Add cornstarch mixture and stir until sauce thickens.
- Toss in green onions and serve immediately.
