Homemade Beef Hamburgers

Ingredients

  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 pound ground beef (85% lean)
  • 1/4 cup fine breadcrumbs
  • Fries, for serving

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the egg, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add the ground beef and breadcrumbs, and mix with your hands until combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into 4 patties, about 3/4-inch thick, pressing a thumb indent into the center of each.
  4. Refrigerate the patties for 20-30 minutes to help them hold their shape.
  5. Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium heat and oil the grates or pan.
  6. Cook the burgers 4-5 minutes per side until desired doneness is reached.
  7. Let the burgers rest a few minutes before serving with desired condiments.
