Grilled Chicken Tenders
🇺🇸 United States
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice (about 1 lemon)
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, minced (or 1 teaspoon dried)
- 1 tablespoon fresh oregano, minced (or 1 teaspoon dried)
- 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, minced (or 1 teaspoon dried)
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, minced (or 1 teaspoon dried)
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- paprika, to taste
- 2 pounds chicken tenders
- salt and black pepper, to taste
Steps
- Preheat the grill to medium-high, about 375-400°F (190-205°C).
- In a small bowl, mix olive oil, garlic, paprika, lemon juice, thyme, oregano, rosemary, parsley, cumin, and red pepper flakes.
- Season chicken tenders with salt and pepper, then place in a shallow dish or resealable bag.
- Pour marinade over chicken and stir to coat evenly. Marinate for 30 minutes if time allows, or grill immediately.
- Lightly grease the grill grates with cooking spray or oil to prevent sticking.
- Remove chicken from marinade, shaking off excess. If using marinade as a sauce, simmer it first to kill bacteria.
- Grill chicken tenders for 3-4 minutes per side, until internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Remove from grill and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
- Garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve.
Notes
Cooking times may vary depending on the thickness of the chicken tenders.
