No-Bake Sour Cherry Sport Slice

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Dutch cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp rum flavoring
  • 1 cup pitted sour cherries
  • 1/2 cup milk, warmed
  • 3 cups crushed tea biscuits
  • 120 g butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 bar dark chocolate
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine the cocoa powder, rum flavoring, pitted sour cherries, and warm milk.
  2. Melt the butter, stir in the sugar, then microwave for 30 seconds to dissolve the sugar.
  3. Pour the butter-sugar mixture into the cocoa and cherry mixture and mix well, being careful not to crush the cherries.
  4. Once smooth, stir in the crushed biscuits until a thick, dense mixture forms.
  5. Transfer the mixture into a glass or ceramic dish, smoothing the top evenly. Chill in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.
  6. Meanwhile, break the chocolate into small pieces, add the vegetable oil, and microwave on medium for about 1 minute, or until melted and smooth.
  7. Pour the melted chocolate over the chilled base and spread evenly.
  8. Refrigerate for 1-2 hours, or until the chocolate is fully set.
  9. Cut into squares and serve.
