Simple Cherry Cake (Egyszerű cseresznyés kevert süti)

Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 100 g powdered sugar
- 0.5 packet vanilla sugar
- 1.5 dl sour cream
- 0.5 lemon (zest and juice)
- 0.5 packet baking powder
- 150 g fine flour
- 500 g cherries
- 1 tbsp powdered sugar
- 0.5 tsp ground cinnamon
- salt
Steps
- Pit the cherries and toss them with the powdered sugar mixed with cinnamon.
- Beat the eggs with the powdered sugar and vanilla sugar.
- Mix in the sour cream, grated lemon zest, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt.
- Sift in the flour mixed with baking powder and stir until smooth and lump-free.
- Spread the batter into a medium baking pan lined with parchment paper.
- Arrange the cherries on top of the batter.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (356°F) for about 30 minutes, checking with a toothpick for doneness.
- Let the cake cool completely in the pan.
- Slice and serve dusted with powdered sugar.
