Krumplis Lángos (Hungarian Potato Fried Bread)

Ingredients
- 1 kg potatoes
- 250-300 g flour
- 2 teaspoons salt
- oil, for frying
Steps
- Peel and cube the potatoes.
- Boil the potatoes in salted water until soft.
- Drain and let cool completely.
- Mash the cooled potatoes with a potato ricer.
- Knead in enough flour to form a dough.
- Roll the dough out on a floured surface to 3-5 mm thickness.
- Cut into pieces of desired size.
- Fry in hot oil until golden brown on both sides.
Notes
Serve as a main dish with sour cream and onions or yogurt, as a side dish with roasts and stews, or as a dessert with plum jam.
