Grilled Pork Chops with Bean Salad

Ingredients

  • 4 pork chops
  • 150 ml sunflower oil
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 tbsp cane sugar
  • 4 tsp grilling spice mix
  • 2 tsp dried thyme
  • 200 g potatoes
  • 100 g green beans
  • 80 ml spicy ketchup
  • 10 ml Worcestershire sauce
  • Tabasco sauce, to taste
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 425 ml canned red beans
  • 1/2 onion
  • 150 g cherry tomatoes
  • 40 ml olive oil
  • 2 tbsp white wine vinegar

Steps

  1. Marinate the pork chops for 2 hours in a mixture of sunflower oil, crushed garlic, sugar, grilling spice, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  2. Boil washed, unpeeled potatoes for 15 minutes. Trim green beans and boil for 8 minutes, then cool in ice water. Drain potatoes and cut in half.
  3. Grill the marinated chops covered over medium heat for 10 minutes per side. After turning, place potatoes on the grill tray and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Make the dip by mixing ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco to taste, honey, and 1 tsp oregano.
  5. Toss the grilled potatoes with green beans, drained red beans, sliced onion, and halved cherry tomatoes.
  6. Dress the salad with olive oil, white wine vinegar, remaining oregano, salt, and pepper.
  7. Serve the grilled chops with the bean salad and ketchup dip.
