Chocolate and Salted Caramel Brownie

Ingredients

  • 1 packet chocolate chunk brownie mix
  • 125g unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup (160g) dulce de leche
  • sea salt flakes (optional)

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 160°C (325°F). Grease a 20cm square tin and line with non-stick baking paper.
  2. Combine brownie mix, melted butter, and eggs according to packet instructions. Stir in chocolate chunks.
  3. Pour batter into the tin. Spoon dollops of dulce de leche on top and swirl with a butter knife.
  4. Bake for 45 minutes, or until set.
  5. Cool in the tin for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm, or let cool completely in the tin.

Notes

Makes 16 brownies.
