Beef Salpicao

Ingredients
- 2 pounds ribeye steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
- salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon red chili pepper flakes
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 head garlic, peeled and minced
Steps
- Season beef with salt and pepper; marinate for about 10 minutes.
- In a small bowl, whisk together Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, and chili flakes until sugar dissolves. Set aside.
- In a wide, thick-bottomed pan over medium heat, melt butter with olive oil.
- Once butter is warm but not hot, add garlic and cook, stirring, for about 1 minute until lightly browned.
- Increase heat to high, stirring garlic continuously to prevent burning, until pan is very hot.
- Add beef in a single layer and sear for 1-2 minutes per side.
- Pour in the sauce mixture and cook, stirring, for 3-5 minutes.
- Remove from pan and garnish with chopped green onions and fried garlic bits, if desired.
