Honey-Garlic Glazed Salmon

Ingredients
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/4 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- 3 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil, divided
- 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each), patted dry
- Kosher salt, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 lemon, thinly sliced into rounds
Steps
- In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes.
- Heat 2 tbsp oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until hot but not smoking.
- Add salmon skin side up; season with salt and pepper. Cook about 2 minutes until seared and heated through.
- Flip salmon skin side down and add remaining 1 tbsp oil.
- Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add honey mixture and lemon slices; cook, basting salmon occasionally, until sauce reduces by about one-third, about 3 minutes.
