Honey-Garlic Glazed Salmon

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 3 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil, divided
  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each), patted dry
  • Kosher salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 lemon, thinly sliced into rounds

Steps

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes.
  2. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until hot but not smoking.
  3. Add salmon skin side up; season with salt and pepper. Cook about 2 minutes until seared and heated through.
  4. Flip salmon skin side down and add remaining 1 tbsp oil.
  5. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  6. Add honey mixture and lemon slices; cook, basting salmon occasionally, until sauce reduces by about one-third, about 3 minutes.
