California Spaghetti Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 pound thin spaghetti, broken into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 pint cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cucumber, diced
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1/2 red onion, diced
  • 1 can black olives, drained and sliced
  • 16 oz Italian salad dressing
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon celery seed
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Steps

  1. Cook the pasta according to package directions, then drain and rinse under cold water.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cooked pasta with cherry tomatoes, cucumber, red bell pepper, red onion, and black olives.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the Italian salad dressing, Parmesan cheese, sesame seeds, paprika, celery seed, and garlic powder.
  4. Pour the dressing over the pasta and vegetables, and toss to coat evenly.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for at least a few hours before serving to let the flavors meld.
