Crack Corn on the Cob

Ingredients

  • 6 ears fresh sweet corn
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons softened cream cheese
  • 1 tablespoon dry ranch seasoning
  • ¼ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ¼ cup cooked and chopped bacon
  • ¼ cup sliced green onion, for garnish

Steps

  1. Remove husks and silks from the corn.
  2. Bring a large pot of water to a boil, add corn, and boil 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside. (Corn can also be grilled or air-fried instead.)
  3. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  4. Whisk in the heavy cream and ranch seasoning.
  5. Slowly whisk in the cream cheese and stir until melted and smooth.
  6. Place the cooked corn on a platter or in a baking dish.
  7. Spoon or brush the warm sauce generously over the corn.
  8. Top with shredded cheddar cheese, chopped bacon, and sliced green onion.
