Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 5 tbsp salted butter, room temperature
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup whole milk
- 2 cups blueberries
- 6 tbsp salted butter
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 cup plus 2 tbsp sugar
- softened butter, for serving
Steps
- Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 13x9-inch baking pan.
- Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl; set aside.
- Cream butter and sugar with an electric mixer until fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add egg and mix until combined, then mix in vanilla.
- Add the flour mixture alternately with the milk, mixing until just incorporated.
- Fold in blueberries until evenly distributed.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan.
- For the topping, combine butter, flour, cinnamon, salt, and 1/2 cup sugar; cut together with two knives or a pastry cutter until crumbly.
- Sprinkle topping evenly over the batter.
- Bake 40-45 minutes until golden brown.
- Sprinkle with remaining 2 tablespoons sugar.
- Cut into squares and serve with softened butter.
