Fresh Mint Tea

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh mint leaves, loosely packed
  • 3 cups boiling water

Steps

  1. Muddle the mint leaves with a mortar and pestle, or rub between your palms, until broken down to about half their size.
  2. Transfer the mint to a heat-proof jar and pour boiling water over it.
  3. Cover and let steep for 5 minutes.
  4. Strain and serve hot, or pour over ice for iced tea.

Notes

Keeps strained in the refrigerator for up to a week, or freeze in ice cube trays for longer storage.
