Classic Mignonette Sauce

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup red wine vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp finely chopped shallot
  • ¼ tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 12 large oysters, freshly shucked

Steps

  1. Stir together red wine vinegar, shallot, and black pepper in a small bowl.
  2. Arrange shucked oysters on a platter and spoon mignonette over them.

Notes

Mignonette can be made 1 month ahead; cover and chill.
