Roasted Chickpeas from the Oven

Ingredients
- 215 g chickpeas (canned or jarred, drained)
- 1 tbsp sweet paprika powder
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 pinch cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (fan/convection).
- Drain the chickpeas in a sieve and rinse under running water; discard any loose skins.
- Spread the chickpeas on paper towels and pat dry.
- In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, salt, cayenne pepper, cumin, and paprika to make a marinade.
- Toss the chickpeas thoroughly with the marinade and spread them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake on the middle rack for 30 minutes. If not crispy enough, bake for an additional 5 minutes.
- For extra crispiness, open the oven door 2-3 times during baking to let moisture escape.
Notes
Serve as a crunchy snack; adjust baking time for desired crispiness.
