Ingredients
- 12 oz egg noodles
- 2 (5 oz) cans tuna, drained
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 3/4 cup frozen peas
- 5 tablespoons butter
- 8 oz sliced fresh mushrooms
- 7 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 5 cups milk
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

- 3/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
Steps
- Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 13x9-inch baking dish.
- Cook egg noodles in salted boiling water until al dente, about 1 minute less than package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Drain tuna and break apart with a fork in a small bowl.
- In a separate bowl, mix panko breadcrumbs with melted butter; set aside.
- Melt 5 tablespoons butter in a large skillet or saucepan over medium heat and cook mushrooms until softened.
- Stir in flour and cook for 1-2 minutes to form a roux.
- Gradually whisk in milk, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens.
- Season sauce with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.
- Add cooked noodles, tuna, and frozen peas to the sauce; mix until well combined.
- Pour mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
- Sprinkle buttered panko breadcrumbs evenly over the top.
- Bake for about 20-25 minutes, until bubbly and golden brown on top.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
