Chocolate Molten Lava Cake

Ingredients
- 6 ounces bittersweet chocolate
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- A dash of salt
Steps
- Preheat oven to 450°F.
- Melt butter, then add chocolate and mix until smooth.
- In a large bowl, beat eggs, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar together.
- Add the melted chocolate mixture to the egg mixture and mix well.
- Mix in the flour and salt.
- Pour batter into two prepared ramekins and bake for 11 minutes, until edges are set but center is still wiggly.
- Let cool for a minute, then flip onto serving plates. Garnish with whipped cream or powdered sugar, and serve with fruit or vanilla ice cream.
Notes
Baking time is critical for achieving a molten center; do not overbake.
