Jamaican Fried Dumplings

Ingredients

  • 358 g plain flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • 170 ml water
  • 473 ml oil, for frying

Steps

  1. Combine flour, salt, and baking powder in a mixing bowl.
  2. Gradually add water and knead into a soft dough.
  3. Divide the dough into 7-8 equal pieces and roll each into a round ball.
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  5. Add the dough balls to the hot oil, then reduce heat to medium-low and fry on all sides.
  6. Fry until dumplings are golden brown on all sides and cooked through inside.
