Classic Tuna Salad

Ingredients

  • 2 (12 oz) cans chunk light tuna in water, drained
  • 1 cup celery, diced (about 2 ribs)
  • 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper, freshly cracked
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Steps

  1. Drain the tuna well. Dice the celery, chop the walnuts, and slice the green onions.
  2. Combine tuna, celery, walnuts, green onions, mayonnaise, lemon juice, pepper, and salt in a bowl. Stir well.
  3. Serve as a sandwich, over greens as a salad, or with crackers and vegetables for dipping.
  4. Refrigerate leftovers and use within four days.
