Blistered Romano Beans with Chile Butter

Ingredients
- 1 garlic clove, finely grated
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter, room temperature
- 2 tsp chopped oil-packed Calabrian chiles
- 1 lb Romano beans or other snap beans, trimmed
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- Kosher salt
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Steps
- Heat broiler with a rack in the upper third of the oven.
- Stir together garlic, butter, Calabrian chiles, and a pinch of salt in a small bowl; set aside.
- Place beans on a large rimmed baking sheet, drizzle with oil, sprinkle with salt, and toss to coat.
- Spread beans out evenly and broil until blistered in spots, 5–9 minutes, watching closely as broiler strength varies.
- Remove beans from broiler and toss with 2 tablespoons of the garlic-chile butter to melt and coat.
- Transfer beans to a platter, top with remaining butter, and serve with lemon wedges.
